Autumn Maxi

I love a maxi dress, and I'm not quite ready to close my summer wardrobe. So the Autumn maxi is the perfect solution. Replace the flip flops with leather boots an add some layers.

Today I wore my summer cotton maxi dress, Topshop boutique, added a black woollen waist coat, Firetrap, a long beige cardigan, and black leather jacket both Allsaints, and some black leather boots, Kurt Geiger

My maxi dress lives on! at least for another month.

Love for Lara

Dutch model Lara Stone is my recent obsession.
Lara made her debut on the cover of vogue in May last year.
She has walked in shows for Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Prada, Marc Jacobs, Victoria's Secret, D&G, Balmain . . .  to name just a few.
I love her in the latest Calvin Klein campaign. She appears effortlessly sexy and confident as well as feminine and cool. She's the new Kate Moss and it seems the fashion world can't get enough!
26 year old Lara was recently wed to David Walliams an a wore a custom made Givenchy gown!
As an aspiring fashion photographer she was definitely my muse for a recent shoot with my good friend Jeanna De Waal.
So thank you Lara.

September Shopping List . . .

To celebrate the fabulous Naomi Campbell's 25 years in fashion Dolce & Gabbana have created limited edition T-shirts featuring images of Mrs Campbell. The money raised by the tee's will go to charity so it's a good cause as well as a great buy.
I'll be heading to the store on Sep 21st to get mine!

'to buy or not to buy'

Designer Dilemma

So I have a bit of a dilemma at the moment as I am scrolling through net-a-porters new Autumn coats. My lust for Balmain's shoulder pads and Westwood's capes, temporarily clouds my conscious mind into thinking that I can afford a £1400 coat. When in reality I can not.
I have a beautiful Westwood coat that I bought last winter an absolutely adore, but I continue to scroll an I'm already thinking up ways to justify my next purchase.

Why is it that retail and purchasing gives us such joy?
Why do I arrive at 8-am outside Selfridges on the first day of their sale? (the doors open at 9)
An I how am I going to explain to my husband that I no longer have savings for a house, but another rail of clothes to cram into our small flat?

'I guess I still have savings but they're made of leather an say 'Prada' on the side'

I'm sure I'm not the only woman who buys things she can't afford, maybe that's part of the thrill.

But this dilemma continues ...
